How to carve your pumpkin using our templates

![]() | Step 1: Find a suitable pumpkin. Most of these designs are best on a medium/large pumpkin. If you want to use it smaller or are haveing trouble fitting it, you can set your printout smaller. |

![]() | Step 3: Find a poking implement. A needle or a pin would work, or a toothpick, or a shish-kabob skewer. |
![]() | Step 4: Place the paper template on the pumpkin. Carfully trace arounf the pattern using the pin, making dots, uniformly spaced around the template. |
![]() | Step 5: You are ready to carve your pumpkin. Proceed as you would any other year. Lop off top, scoop out guts, carve out design. NOTE: these designs are best executed using the shallow carve method. In this method, you don't cut through the shell completely. Instead you carve down to a shallow depth in the rind of th pumpkin, the light coming from within will illuminate the carved out areas.. |
